The Inspiration Behind Andrewman Ministries.

Mike, who was inspired by God and his superhero and grandson, Andrew Petrea, founded Andrewman Ministries on March 24, 2008. Andrew loves superheroes and his grandfather, Mike, is amazed at how much of a superhero Andrew has been throughout his ongoing illness.

On September 16, 2006, at the age of 3, Andrew Petrea was diagnosed with an Ependymoma brain tumor. After his diagnosis Andrew had 2 major brain surgeries, 2 different kinds of radiation, and chemotherapy. In August of 2007, Andrew had a MRI that showed that the tumor had come back and spread in his brain as well as his spine. He has since been on several different kinds of chemotherapy and additional radiation to his spine.

Since his diagnosis, Andrew has played a season of T-Ball as well as gone through his first year of school and started his second year just recently. Throughout his illness Andrew has shown that he is unwilling to let his condition bring him down and keep him from being as normal as possible. It is because of this that Andrew is our superhero and an inspiration to us all.

News:

Hey guys, sorry it took so long for updates. We have been able to help several families in the month of January. A social worker from medical city called at the first of the month about a single mom and her daughter with Leukemia staying at the Ronald McDonald house, she was needing a phone for when traveling to and from the hospital in case of emergency, also to be used as a doctor contact phone. We were able to get her a pay as you go phone and 300 minutes, thank you GOD.  We were able to give the 6th floor children's oncology, where Andrew spent many days, 3 fifty dollar and 3 twenty five dollar Wal-Mart gift cards to give out to families that have unexpected stays. Through a contact at make a wish foundation, heard about another family with a son  with cancer needing money to pay light bill, Andrewman ministries was able to be a blessing to them and pay the electric, praise GOD. During the conservation with Misty at make a wish foundation, I was able to connect her with yet another family  that Andrewman ministries helped at the end of last year , a 10 year old boy with ALL Leukemia that has not  been able to do a make wish, he will now.  Just the other day the social worker called again about another family, one we've helped in the past, you see we have no limits . This family has a 3 year old boy with Lymphoma T-Cell and was needing help with insurance payment and Andrewman ministries was again able to help. You see that's what we do with GODS help and yours. I encourage each person reading this to look deep inside your hearts and be instrumental in helping families like these, and most of all being instrumental in seeing moms , dads , brothers , sisters ect. come to know Jesus as their personal savior, that's what we do. So please help us keep doing what we do by making a donation to our cause and receive a Andrewman shirt or hoodie. Shirts are 15 dollar donations and hoodies are 25 dollar donations, just click on the donation tab at the top of page. THANKS AND GOD BLESS.................

Remember to come see our booth # 131 at Hunt County Trade Center, on Hwy 751 Quinlan. We have a lot of gently used things that have been donated. Proceeds go toward helping families with children with life threatening illnesses.

Thank you for your continued support, without you we wouldn't be able to keep doing what we are doing.  We do need more funds and will be having some fundraisers soon.  If you would like to help out, you can make donations on the donation page or contact us for more information.

To date we have been able to help 27 families with over $20,000 in donations to help with bills, gas, medicines, and other needs.  Please continue to support the ministry so that we can continue to help other families!  We are very excited that the Lord has blessed us with so many donations so that we are able to help people.  Thank you in advance for your continued support.

Don't forget to come and see us at the new flea market on 751 on Saturdays.  If you would like to donate something for the flea market, please call or email me to make arrangements for it to be picked up.
